We're not stopping.

We've started Mipham.

Yes — with Dudjom Lingpa's complete works finally put to bed last month, Lama Dorje Sherab and I turned straight to Jamgön Ju Mipham Rinpoche. Two volumes of his Collected Works are already translated in full, block by block, into English and Rioplatense Spanish. Twenty-five to go. This is not a side project. This is decades of work, and we just took the first real steps.

And that's not the only thing happening this month.

We have the Mara Roast in Argentina. We have empowerments online. We have a fundraiser with a mirror in it.

Vajrakula Events: August 2026

The Mara Roast is in Argentina, and it's built to bring people in.

From August 7th through 9th, we're running five days of practice at Drolma Yoga and online, in Spanish and English. If you've never set foot near a shrine room, start here:

• Friday 7th: What is Buddhism? / Qué es el Budismo? — the front door. No background required, no jargon assumed.

• Saturday 8th: Introduction to Meditation / Cómo ganar espacio en tu cabeza — less theory, more sitting down and doing it.

• Saturday 8th: Puja Recital: Health, Protection and Money — a recitation practice for the things people actually worry about.

• Sunday 9th: Empowerment of Manjushri, Buddha of Wisdom — for those ready to go from watching to receiving transmission.

• Sunday 9th: Mö: Tibetan Divination — yes, we do divination. Come find out what that actually means.

Start with the first two if you're curious and new. Stay for the empowerment and the Mö if you want to see what's on the other side of curious.

And Argentina is just the first stop. The Mara Roast keeps rolling.

Mara Roast México — Sept 26–27, Casa Manu (CDMX) + Online

• Sat, Sep 26 — Introducción a la meditación / Introduction to Meditation — a hands-on morning. You're not there to hear about meditation, you're there to do it and walk out with a practice that survives your actual life.

• Sat, Sep 26 — Pujas de Prosperidad, Salud y Protección / Pujas for Health, Wealth and Protection — live group ritual, not spectator sport. Everyone recites.

• Sun, Sep 27 — Divinación: El Mö tibetano / Divination: The Tibetan Mö — learn to read the Mö, the dice-and-syllable system that speaks with Manjushri's voice. Requires the Manjushri initiation — which is given that same morning, same place, so the whole transmission fits in one weekend.

Mara Roast United States — Oct 2–4, Nritya Mandala Mahavihara (Portland, OR) + Online

Hosted at Guru Prajwal Ratna Vajracharya's own temple — a rare in-person crossing with living Newar Buddhism, the Vajrayana of the Kathmandu Valley that never separated tantra from daily life.

• Fri, Oct 2 — A Teaching by Guru Prajwal / Enseñanza de Guru Prajwal — our host opens the weekend in his own house.

• Fri, Oct 2 — Suchandra Guru Yoga — guru yoga for the king who asked the Buddha for a path he could practice without giving up his throne. For everyone with a full calendar and a life they're not abandoning.

• Fri, Oct 2 – Sat, Oct 3 — Tse Lha Namsum Thugtik: The Heart Essence of the Three Long-Life Deities / Las 3 deidades — a full longevity cycle taught across three linked sessions: tantra, root practice, movements. Come to all three.

• Sat, Oct 3 — Amulet Making / Creación de Amuletos — the closing workshop. Make and consecrate your own protective amulet, the oldest wearable tech there is.

• Sat, Oct 3 — The Journeying Workshop / Taller de Journeying: Viaje a Otros Mundos — a night session on traveling to other worlds through ritual and visualization, and — just as important — how to come back clean.

• Sun, Oct 4 — Guru Yoga of the Wicha Masters / Guru Yoga de los Maestros Wicha — honoring the sorcerer-sages of Southeast Asia. If you came for the sorcery, this is for you. If you came for the devotion: same answer.

If there isn't one near you yet — ask. We're going regional and frequent on purpose, so more of you get a Mara Roast within reach.

• Sat, Aug 1 — White Tara Empowerment and Teaching (Zoom, membership offer). Long-life practice, for those already inside the fold.

• Sat, Aug 15 — [P1] Empowerment of Manjushri, Buddha of Wisdom (Online). Same wisdom deity, this time for our P1-level members.

• Sat, Aug 22 — [Fundraiser] Black Manjushri Empowerment + Mirror Divination (Online). Open to everyone, and it goes straight back into keeping the lights on.

• Sat, Aug 29 — [P3+] Manjushri from Dudjom Lingpa (Online). Deeper transmission, for P3 and up.
