About the event
English
Manjushri is the Buddha of Wisdom: the one who wields the sword that cuts confusion at the root. His practice sharpens the mind — memory, study, eloquence, understanding — and ultimately cuts through what keeps us from seeing things as they are.
An empowerment (abhisheka) is the ritual doorway into a tantric practice: the transmission that authorizes and enables you to practice it.
No partial transmissions here: you receive the empowerment, the reading transmission (agama), the instructions (upadesha), and the sadhana to practice at home. Complete, as it should be.
Prerequisite: being a Buddhist — having taken refuge. Receiving an empowerment creates a real bond (samaya) with the practice and the lineage; it's not a formality, which is why we ask for this foundation. If you're not a Buddhist yet but this calls to you, write to us: there's a path.
