Avalokiteshvara doesn't only wear the gentle face. Akasharaja — "King of Space" — is a wrathful expression of the bodhisattva of compassion, transmitted through the terma of Dudul Dorje and rarely given outside close lineage circles. This is compassion with teeth: the same vow to leave no being behind, worked through a form built for cutting straight to the point.
