Yuthok the Elder and Yuthok the Younger, the two founders of Traditional Tibetan Medicine, were physicians, yogis and masters of the Medicine Buddha’s lineage, and they held that healing the body and freeing the mind belong to the same work. The Yuthok Nyingthig is their heart essence, where the practice of healing stops being a metaphor and becomes a craft.
