A hands-on workshop in the oldest of the sacred crafts: making an object that protects. You'll leave with an amulet you made — and consecrated — yourself. / Un taller práctico del más antiguo de los oficios sagrados: hacer un objeto que protege. Te vas con un amuleto hecho — y consagrado — por ti.

About the event
English
Before dharma was in books it was in objects: things made carefully, charged deliberately, and carried close to the body. The amulet is the oldest wearable technology there is — and making one properly involves both craft and practice.
In this workshop we do both. You'll learn the principles of what makes an object protective — intention, material, consecration — and then make your own amulet, blessing it as part of the process. Streaming participants craft along from home; we'll send a simple materials list beforehand.
It's the closing workshop of Mara Roast Portland, and it's on purpose: after a weekend of teachings and practice, you go home with something you can hold.
Everyone is welcome; no prerequisites, no craft skills needed. Clumsiness is workable.
